The Borneo Post: Dutch backpacker leads way in trash management

SANDAKAN: A Dutchman backpacker, Tijmen Sissing, 27, is now known among the locals here as the ‘Caucasian who picks up trash from the beach’, after a video of him banding with locals to clear garbage from the beaches of Lahad Datu went viral on social media, recently.

Tijmen then started a Facebook page named The Trashpacker in hope to influence more people to join him in spreading awareness about trash management.
