The fifth clean event in the SCUBA #picuptrip has been to date our most successful yet!
For the clean we partnered up with Go Green Nha Trang and Cafe Culture who helped us promote the event, offered free refreshments and their local knowledge on where to host the clean - and they didn’t disappoint!
The beach was in the Northern are of Nha Trang and was a local beach for eating, fishing, dumping waste and needed a big clean.
42 volunteers from 9 different nationalities turned up to clean the local beach in their area showing that locals demand clean spaces! We also had the Worldwide Challenge crew from the #reefdive the previous day turn up for round 2 of getting their hands dirty!
Without a shadow of a doubt it was an amazing day full of fun, laughter, hard work and great satisfaction as we removed 48 BAGS of refuse and dragged over 300kg of fishing nets off the beach where they could cause no more hard to local marine life.
Again a shout out to everyone who attended and from all thje different marine-based businesses and locals - it was an amazing day and you made us all so proud!
